The Benefits of Cleansing

A juice cleanse helps rid the body of toxins and impurities while still providing the nourishment you need.  This allows your body to rest and regenerate without feeling overly fatigued or starved.  Our juices are made with fresh, raw organic fruits and vegetables, which contain high levels of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and living enzymes that replenish and restore balance.  Our cleanse packages also include a daily detox tea, aloe and probiotic supplement.

Prior to cleanse:

We recommend eliminating processed foods, sugar, meat & poultry, dairy, wheat, caffeine, and tobacco at least 3 days prior to cleansing.  Consuming a diet of mostly fruits, vegetables, lean proteins and alternative and sprouted grains (such as quinoa and millet) will help ease the body into the transition from solid food to juices.  This will also help to reduce cravings, headaches, and other withdrawal symptoms that are sometimes associated with cleansing.  It’s also important that you get in the habit of drinking plenty of filtered water prior to your cleanse - to start promoting elimination.

Remember to drink plenty of filtered water throughout the day.

You may consume additional herbal teas, but we suggest avoiding teas with caffeine.

If hunger is too overwhelming, Drink lots of water and snack on raw vegetables or a raw salad (no dressing).  Chew food thoroughly to ease digestion.

Post cleanse

We recommend that you slowly re-introduce solid foods back into your diet.  Your body has just taken a break from digesting solid foods and should be eased back into the process.  We suggest adding foods daily as follows:

Day 1:  organic, raw fruits, vegetables and salads
Day 2:  steamed vegetables or vegetable based soups, brown rice, quinoa, nuts, legumes, hard boiled eggs, plant-based oils
Day 3:  unsweetened yogurt, kefir, fish and poultry
Day 4: continue to add foods, as desired

*please continue to hydrate with plenty of filtered water.
